Memory of Color

by Christopher Ducharme

This is my estuary

Abundant with life

Sacredly sanctioned

That was my island

Closed and racing

Aroused, mistaken

Today is my life

Yesterday a season

Love is my belief

Forgive, not a reason

Heart discarded color

In tune, yet array

Sun spotted another

Painfully walks away

Tears fall together

Heart fearful gray

Reminiscent laughter

Cordial terrorist us

Creates sad song play

Sweet sun sets tears

In harmony here

Moving in memory

Over my soul

To let go
