SERVICES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE IN THE SEX TRADE

The diagram above shows the Process of Sexual Exploitation. It differentiates between the same three spheres of sexual exploitation as the diagram 1.1. It shows that, children often become exploited through the inner sphere (which includes the most visible form of exploitation: street sex) and the middle sphere (which includes the less visible forms of sexual exploitations, including internet child pornography, trick pads and gang houses). Regardless of which sphere a child enters into, there is a process by which they become entrenched in the sex trade. It is incredibly difficult for a youth to transition away from sex work once they have become entrenched.
